We are a church that believes that spiritual growth groups are important. They are important because they provide community, fellowship, and strengthen your relationship with Jesus. We encourage all those at FUMC Pearland to be a part of at least one Growth Group.
We have many Growth Group and Bible Study opportunities for you here at FUMC Pearland. The purpose of these groups is to allow those in our church and our community to come together for spiritual, social, emotional or even physical encouragement and accountability. There will be something that we encourage all members to be a part of, and also invite friends and neighbors that perhaps do not have a faith community. Contact the class leader for more information.
If you need additional information or help registering, please contact Lindsey Hoffman, Spiritual Formation Coordinator.

Financial Peace University
FPU consists of a nine-week video curriculum taught by financial expert Dave Ramsey, and it incorporates small group discussions that help encourage accountability and discipleship. This 9-week session will start January 18, at 6pm. The class is 2 hours in length and we will dismiss promptly at 8pm.
This Flex Class is designed for your busy schedule! You can either watch each week's video at home prior to the class and come to class at 7pm to join the discussion and small group time OR you can come at 6pm and watch the video with the group and stay for discussion.
This is right in the middle of dinner time for most of us. You are more than welcome to bring your dinner with you and eat while watching the video. The more convenient we can make this, the better!
Childcare is provided at no cost. Reservations are required. Please send any updates to your childcare needs to me as soon as you can.
And, finally, class materials will be passed out the first night of class. For the first session, please arrive at 6pm since you won't have access to the videos online just yet. We will begin our journey together as a class!

Jan. 4-Feb. 8 Half Truths by Adam Hamilton $20
They are simple phrases. They sound Christian—like something you might find in the Bible. We’ve all heard these words. Maybe we’ve said them. They capture some element of truth, yet they miss the point in important ways. Join Adam Hamilton in searching for the whole truth by comparing common Christian clichés to the message and ministry of Jesus.
Feb. 15-Apr. 26 The Wesleyan Way by Scott Jones $15
Newly appointed Bishop Scott Jones of the Texas Annual Conference invites participants into a deeper, more thoughtful, more active commitment to Christ. This 8-session study helps participants focus on how, through discipleship with Jesus Christ, we become part of God’s work in transforming the world. Each week a different presenter shares their personal faith experience. Presenters include Adam Hamilton, Olu Brown, Felicia Hopkins, Jessica Moffat Seay, Jorge Acevedo, Rob Fuquay and author Scott Jones. Participants then read on their own from the student book and the Bible and then once a week the group comes together to explore what they’ve read and to view another video.
