The Methodist Children's Program (M.C.P.) is an extension of the educational ministry of FUMC Pearland. The program is licensed by the Texas Department of Family Protective Services. Its purpose is to provide a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the social, emotional, spiritual, physical and cognitive development of young children. Developmentally appropriate activities are carefully planned and provide opportunities for self-expression, freedom of choice, self-reliance, and individuality.

Jan. 4 - Feb. 10 To be considered for Public Registration, please pick up a ticket to be used for the drawing on Feb. 13th. You do not need to be present for the drawing.

Children's Day Out (C.D.O.)
C.D.O. is for children ages 12 months through three years old. Daily schedules foster fine and gross motor development, cooperative play, language acquisition and cognitive development. Activities provide children with opportunities for creative self-expression.
Pre-K is for children four years of age on September 1st of the current school year. These classes are designed as a Kindergarten Readiness Program. Instruction includes a formal introduction to the alphabet, phonemic awareness, mathematical concepts and problem solving.
Kindergarten is for children five years of age on September 1st of the current school year. It follows the same guidelines as prescribed by the Texas State Board of Education. M.C.P. Kindergarten provides a low student-teacher ratio of no more than 14 to 2. Curriculum is based around thematic units. The integrated curriculum reflects the developmental needs and interest of the students.
