One of our core values is to intentionally reach out as the hands and feet of Christ to those in need. The purpose of our missions and outreach ministry is to help those most vulnerable in our community. We believe that building relationships is the key to Connecting All to a Greater Life in Christ.
Our Missions Network meets monthly to seek out areas in our area that we can help. Through mentoring, serving the homeless and offering emergency grocery bags (just to name a few) we come together as a church family to share our blessings and faith to build the Kingdom of Christ.
WAYS TO SERVE
BE THE CHURCH DAY
One Sunday each Spring, FUMC Pearland hits the streets! The congregation meets for a brief early morning worship service and then breaks out into groups serving a wide range of ways in our community and our world. Sign-up for the various service projects takes place for about a month prior to Be the Church day.

Once a quarter, FUMC Pearland serves lunch at Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen in Downtown Houston. Loaves and Fishes is funded by donations and greatly aided by volunteers-who are always needed! And we are a grateful member of the Houston Food Bank, with additional support from area farmers and food donors. Check our calendar or this page to find out our next dates to serve.
