Methodist Children's Program...
 
The Methodist Children's Program is an extension of the educational ministry of the First United Methodist Church of Pearland.  We are licensed by the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Service.  Our purpose it to provide a safe nurturing environment that promotes the social, emotional, spiritual, physical, and cognitive development of young children.  Developmentally appropriate activities are carefully planned and provide opportunities for self-expression, freedom of choice, self-reliance and individuality.

PROGRAMS
CHILDREN'S DAY OUT
CDO is for children ages 12 months through 3 years old.  Daily schedules foster fine & gross motor development, cooperative play, language acquisition and cognitive development.  Activities provide children with opportunities for creative self-expression.
 
PRE-KINDERGARTEN (PRE-K)
Pre-K is for children 4 years of age on September 1st of the current school year.  These classes are designed as a Kindergarten Readiness Program.  Instruction includes a formal introduction to the alphabet, phonemic awareness, mathematical concepts and problem solving.
 
KINDERGARTEN
Kinder is for children 5 years of age on September 1st of the current school year.  It follows the same guidelines as prescribed by the Texas State Board of Education.  our Kindergarten provides a low student-teacher ratio of no more than 14 to 2.  Curriculum is based around thematic units.  The integrated curriculum reflects the developmental needs and interest of the students.

Children's Day Out
M.C.P. still has openings in the 12-18 month old room for the 2008/2009 school year. Children must be turn 12 months between March 1, 2007 and September 1, 2007.
Job Opportunities
M.C.P. is currently accepting applications for teachers and substitute teachers for the 2008/2009 school year.
