Intercessory Prayer –
Prayer request cards are
available in the sanctuary each
Sunday morning to be filled out and
turned in. The intercessory prayer
group meets each Tuesday to pray for
each individual request.
The supreme example of
intercessory prayer is Jesus' prayer
in John 17 for his disciples. "Holy
Father, keep them and care for
them..." That is what intercessory
prayer is all about.

Healing Prayer Ministry
- A group that is committed
to prayerfully support the
spiritual, mental and physical well-being of
our church family.
Representatives of our group are
available at all worship services every Communion Sunday
(the first Sunday of each month) to pray with
individuals for their personal
needs. If you have a prayer need,
you may come to one of the prayer
group members while
communion is being served. They are
also available to visit in the
hospital, hospice, homes or over the
phone. You may send an email to
prayer@fumcpearland.org if you
would like a member of the Healing
Prayer Ministry to pray with you.
Labyrinth – Our
11-circuit labyrinth is a spiritual
tool used for a walking meditation.
It comes from the Christian
tradition during the 12th and 13th
centuries, and is a replica of the
one in the floor of Chartres
Cathedral outside of Paris, France.
Labyrinths are divine imprints found
in religious traditions now and in
pre-Christian times in various forms
around the world. Prayerfully
walking the labyrinth leads to a
sacred place deep within that
engages one in the process of
healing and transformation. It is a
symbol of unity and wholeness. The
winding path that takes us to the
center becomes a metaphor for our
own spiritual journey. Our
Christ-centered labyrinth may be
rented for use at other locations.
The labyrinth is not rented without
a properly trained person to
facilitate your program. A room 40'
in diameter and without obstruction
(i.e. posts) is necessary. For more
information, please contact the
church office.
J.U.M.P.
– (Jesus Uses Morning
People) - a group of people who meet
in the Chapel at 8:10 a.m. Sunday
mornings to pray for the Worship
Services.
