Worship Service

Our NewSong service takes place in our Family Life Center.

We are a community of people who love God, care about families, believe in developing and growing friendships around faith, and have a desire to make a real difference in our community. No matter what you’ve been through or where you come from, you are welcome here.

We worship in a relaxed setting, focused on an authentic experience, centered around real relationships with God and one another. Worship will include modern Christian music, a biblical message and communion every week.

Families & Children

We encourage families to worship together. Children are welcome and invited to stay in worship with you if you wish.

During all of our services, we also have a time especially designed for the children ages K-4th grade called PearlandKIDS Sermon Session! Children are invited into a separate space where they have time for fellowship and an age appropriate lesson during the sermon. Children then return to the worship service for communion with their family or the final worship song.

PearlandKIDS nursery is available for ages birth through preschool for the duration of each service. Here your kids will engage in age appropriate bible lessons and songs.

Music

We have open seating with a live contemporary music band where we sing, worship and give our hearts to the Lord. You can sing along to the lyrics on our screens. It’s a relaxed and informal atmosphere where you can enjoy the music and take in the word of the Lord.

Current Sermon Series

Summer is all about vacations, relaxing, traveling, and unwinding. This Summer, we will begin with a fascinating and fun look at the Bible. In his book Bible Stories for Grown-Ups: Reading Scripture with New Eyes pastor Josh Scott looks at familiar Bible stories and reveals new details and interpretations for an adult audience.

Practicing the Way Moving Forward

How Can We Help?

We are coming to the close of our ‘church-wide’ reading/study of the book Practicing the Way by John Mark Comer. I hope you have been challenged and will continue to make progress on your path of life and your faith journey.

John offers the following questions at the end of the section related to ‘A Rule of Life’.

  • What is one small step you can take this week in practicing the Way of Jesus?

  • Or is there something you feel a stirring in your heart to lay down? To leave behind?

  • What would happen if you were to say yes to the impulse of God’s Spirit inside you?

Do not fear, and do not run away. The path before you is long, at times hard, but it is “overflowing with the inexpressible delight of love.”

The book highlights some important tips for us to consider as we make plans and commitments for our Rule of Life. One of the tips is Do this in community. A supportive community can help build accountability and allows for sharing of ideas and best practices along the way.

How can we as a community of faith support each other?  I would love to hear your ideas of ways we as a church family can help each other as we embrace and continue the Way of Life that creates space for us to be with Jesus, become like Him and do as He did. If you would like to share your ideas or have questions about creating a Rule of Life for spiritual growth, Susan McElya, our Discipleship Director, would be happy to assist you.
